Luna, a mix of German Shepherd and Husky breeds, disappeared from her owner at the San Diego, California coastline for a period of 5 weeks.
Nick Haworth, the owner of Luna, searched for his dog for several days, along with a navy crew, after she fell off a fishing boat, but unfortunately, they were unsuccessful in finding her.
Regrettably, they believed that Luna had perished. However, Sandy DeMunnik, a Navy public affairs officer, reported that staff members at St. Clemente Island’s Naval Auxiliary Landing Field discovered Luna sitting by the side of the road and wagging her tail after a period of five weeks.
Fortunately, Luna managed to swim to the shore where she has been able to survive by consuming dead fish and rodents. Despite being slightly malnourished, Luna was in good health and had not suffered any injuries.
She was finally reunited with her owner’s best friend in Colorado, where she will stay until Nick returns from his travels. What a heartwarming conclusion! Please share this with your loved ones.
