When Hannah had to bid farewell to her horses, Derby and Buddy, and her retriever, Buddy, it broke her heart. She was away for three months, so when she came home for the holidays, she was eager to reunite with Buddy.
Buddy became a part of Hannah’s family when she was just a puppy, but she is now mostly deaf and suffers from arthritis due to her advanced age. However, when Hannah began to cry, Buddy gave her the simplest of welcomes, as if she had been away for a long time.
