An African Grey parrot named Sinbad demonstrates that animals are capable of feeling a range of emotions, including sadness and happiness. The parrot is remaining close to his owner during her final days in the hospital.
Sinbad and his owner have been companions for approximately 25 years, and now they are facing the heartbreaking reality of separation. Despite the circumstances, Sinbad simply wants to be by his owner’s side in the hospital.
Parrots possess cognitive abilities that are similar to those of a five-year-old child. When his owner said “I love you” to him, the emotional moment brought tears to my eyes.
